About the Item
Beautiful pink bowl in the "American Sweetheart" pattern produced by the Macbeth-Evans Glass Company in the 1930s.
Macbeth-Evans first introduced tableware items during the late 1920s and expanded into complete dinnerware lines in 1930.  The glass was made thinner than other companies of the time; thus, it was more fragile.  American Sweetheart was produced between 1930-1936.  The pattern was an elaborate design of lacy swirls, finely detailed and quite feminine, created from a mold-etched pattern.
Bowl measures approximately 5 7/8" in diameter.
Bowl kept in a family breakfront for decades.  Owner is selling home and must downsize.
